| Winner Svein Åke Ek with the trophy |
Svein Åke Ek was the number 1 seed for the stepladder and he took charge early
in the final match and never looked back.
“I was comfortable with the long oil pattern (London/44 feet) and it was important for me to be the number 1 seed for the stepladder as I usually play better when the lane has opened up,” Svein Åke Ek said.
The young Norwegian showed his skills last year when he won the European Champions Cup in Ankara, Turkey, after stopping Swede Dennis Eklund in the final. The Super Six victory also served as a final push for Svein Åke Ek to be included in the Norwegian national team in the European Men´s Championships in Munich in June.
The third stop of the Super Six Tour turned into a battle between Sweden and Norway. Tomas Leandersson took third place while Glenn Morten Pedersen of Norway finished fourth.
Swedish national team players Martin Paulsson and Robert Andersson had a good look at the stepladder, but finally had to settle for fifth and sixth place respectively.
